I have pleasure in making my personal message about myself and the formation of 'RAKSHA CHARITABLE TRUST'. I founded this Trust to help the underprivileged sections of the society and to raise awareness of cancer, HIV/AIDS and many sensitive issues.

I'm a self taught artist born in Chennai . Painting is my Childhood hobby later it became a profession this brought Me a laurel of first Female Artist of Tamil Nadu , India.

I have more than Ten years of experience in social work, particularly helping the children of cancer. Since I'm an Artist, I started doing a bit of social work through my paintings; with the help of My Artistic work I gradually started to help the children struggling against cancer.

I received this impression after facing an incident in a Government Baby Hospital , As my son was sick, I went to the Hospital, there I met an 12 A year old boy who struggling with cancer by lying on his Mother's lap whom his mother said " he would not be alive Even for a month "I started thinking to do something for Him .Though my economic condition was poor , I gave him a Biscuit packet, and the boy thanked me with tears , that Was an incident stricken my conscience to do something for Underprivileged kids .Then on Initially I started to assist the children by donating a major portion of the sale Proceeds comes out of my paintings.

From donating clothes to organizing blood Donation camps, I did my bit of social service until I Visited an NGo that serves for cancer children , there I Was invited as a judge for the painting competition Among the children suffering from cancer, I was disheartened to see the kids suffering from cancer that Was the day I decided to form an organization to do Something for these kids that resulted in the Establishment of the 'RAKSHA CHARITABLE TRUST' in April 9th 2010.

My childhood dream was to conduct My own Art exhibition and the dream came true recently .To aid the children suffering with cancer this was the first Art Exhibition in Tamil Nadu, which recently held at Lalit kala Academy, Chennai on May 14th to 20th,2012. Over 100 paintings were displayed, though My Art exhibition was not a success, but this never ends here ....

"My aim is to ensure no child should suffer for want of treatment for lack of finance". I always look for the opportunity to Contribute My Artistic effort & work to fulfill the dream of helping the underprivileged children.

My earnest thanks to the volunteers, Individuals, Press & Media and so forth, for supporting My Endeavour and our Team's Effort to envision & attain the destination which will help needy.
